We are currently supporting a leading construction contractor in their search for a Contracts Manager to oversee major construction works at Gatwick Airport.

This role will involve managing a range of main contractor build and refurbishment packages within a live airport environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects from construction through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Contracts Manager from a main contractor background, with strong experience delivering complex construction projects within highly regulated environments such as aviation, infrastructure, or large commercial developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the delivery of main contractor construction packages within Gatwick Airport

  • Overseeing new build, refurbishment and upgrade works across multiple projects

  • Managing site teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders

  • Ensuring works are delivered on programme, within budget and to specification

  • Maintaining strict health & safety standards within a live airport environment

  • Coordinating with clients, consultants, commercial teams and operational airport stakeholders

  • Managing subcontractor performance and programme delivery

  • Supporting the commercial team with variations, cost control and reporting

  • Ensuring high-quality delivery across all construction packages

  • Monitoring programme progress and resolving project challenges

Experience Required
  • Proven experience working as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager

  • Strong experience delivering main contractor construction projects

  • Experience managing new build and refurbishment works

  • Background working for a main contractor

  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors and site teams

  • Strong understanding of programme management, contracts and commercial awareness

  • Ability to operate effectively in live or highly regulated environments (aviation experience desirable)
