We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Rail & Civils contractor for an experienced Site Manager / Site Agent to oversee a £2m embankment regrade project in Coventry.
This is a freelance opportunity (CIS or LTD) for an experienced rail and civil engineering professional with a strong engineering background and proven earthworks experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of site operations and workforce
• Direct management of a team of up to 20 personnel, including engineers and foremen
• Overseeing embankment regrade and associated earthworks activities
• Managing and coordinating plant including excavators, dozers, dump trucks, and associated equipment
• Attending and leading site meetings
• Communicating and liaising with the client and Senior Management
• Reading and interpreting civil engineering drawings
• Managing and monitoring health, safety, and quality throughout all stages of the works
• Ensuring programme targets and project milestones are achieved

Requirements

• PTS (Personal Track Safety) - Essential
• Strong engineering background (Civil Engineering preferred)
• Proven experience managing earthworks projects
• Experience within rail and civils environments
• Demonstrable experience managing engineers, foremen, and site operatives
• Ability to coordinate multiple work fronts and plant operations
• Strong understanding of HSEQ requirements
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
