Senior Electrical Design Engineer

The Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, delivery, and management of electrical engineering solutions across a range of projects. You will work closely with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary design teams to ensure all electrical systems are designed to the highest technical standards and comply with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design on medium to large-scale building services projects.
• Produce detailed designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct site surveys, inspections, and provide technical reports.
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
• Contribute to the development of internal processes and technical excellence.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered status (CEng) or working towards it is highly desirable.
• Extensive experience within building services consultancy or a similar field.
• Strong understanding of British Standards, IET Wiring Regulations, and industry legislation.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
