Freelance Mechanical Construction Manager Central London £400 £450 per day 9 Month Contract
Skilled Careers are currently working with an established and highly respected M&E contractor who are looking for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join their team on a freelance basis for an initial 9-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a prestigious mixed-use development project in Central London, delivering high-quality mechanical installations on a flagship scheme.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the mechanical installation on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all mechanical installation activities on site
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site teams
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with programme and project milestones
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and site compliance
- Liaise with the main contractor, consultants, and wider project team
- Monitor quality control and ensure installations meet project specifications
- Assist with commissioning and handover phases
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Mechanical Construction Manager on large M&E or mixed-use developments
- Strong background managing mechanical installations on complex construction projects
- Excellent knowledge of site health & safety procedures
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Ability to drive programme and manage subcontractor performance
- SMSTS, Black or Gold CSCS, and relevant mechanical qualifications (desirable)
