Site Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale RC frame and structural packages on major construction projects. The successful candidate will take responsibility for accurate setting out, supervising engineering activities on site, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out for RC frame and structural works, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project drawings.

• Interpret and work from technical drawings, specifications, and construction programmes.

• Supervise and coordinate site engineering activities for reinforced concrete frame structures.

• Ensure quality control procedures are followed throughout the construction process.

• Maintain and manage site engineering records, reports, and as-built drawings.

• Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and design teams to resolve technical issues.

• Monitor progress of works against programme and highlight potential delays.

• Conduct site inspections to ensure works meet required standards and specifications.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.

• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site teams when required.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.

• Proven experience working as a Senior Site Engineer or Site Engineer on RC frame projects.

• Strong experience in setting out using surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS, etc.).

• Excellent understanding of reinforced concrete frame construction methods.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering plans.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• CSCS card (relevant level).

Desirable

• Experience on large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.

• Knowledge of temporary works and structural packages.

• Previous experience managing or mentoring junior engineers.
