Senior Site Engineer Major Infrastructure Project
Location: Birmingham / West Midlands
Salary: £65,000 + (Package) + Car Allowance Lodge Available!

Red Sky Personnel are working alongside a well-established civil engineering contractor self-delivering works on one of the UK s largest infrastructure schemes. Due to continued project growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Engineer to support the delivery of works on a major Infrastructure package in the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading contractor working on a nationally significant project involving complex civil engineering and infrastructure works.

The Role

The Senior Site Engineer will play a key role in the technical delivery of site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, accurately, and in line with programme and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and overseeing site engineering activities
  • Setting out for a range of civils works including earthworks, drainage, structures and infrastructure elements
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Coordinating with site teams, subcontractors, and management
  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and quality standards
  • Maintaining accurate site records and as-built documentation
  • Supporting the planning and sequencing of works on site
  • Promoting and maintaining strong health & safety standards

Requirements

  • Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • CSCS card (White CSCS Academically Qualified Person preferred)
  • Proven experience working as a Senior Site Engineer on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects
  • Strong background within heavy civils, highways, rail, or large infrastructure schemes
  • Experience with setting out, QA documentation, and technical site support
  • SMSTS or similar site management safety qualification
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience using surveying equipment such as Leica, Trimble or Total Stations
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
