Contract Structural Engineer
12 Months (Initially)
Aberdeen/Hybrid (3 days per week on-site)
50-55 per hour (Inside IR35)

iO Associates has partnered with an Oil & Gas client in the recruitment of a Structural Engineer. Please see below for details about the role:
Work tasks:
- Contribute in CTR-activities/offers, both installation and project related studies
- Installation follow-up, red mark-up documentation, final documentation
- Offshore surveys, installation follow up or yard stay can be actual
- Coordination and cooperation with rig crew and ongoing installation work
- Contribute in project(s) and deliver on time and budget assigned work tasks
- Report costs, progress and deviation to technical lead/package engineer or project managers
Experience/ Knowledge:
- 3D design of offshore steel structures (Inventor/E3D)
- Calculation of steel structures and details (Ansys, STAAD, and Sesam GeniE)
- 2D design experience (Autocad/Microstation)
- Good theoretical understanding concerning statics and steel structures
- Practical knowledge with fabrication of steel structures
- Petroleum industry standards, rules, and regulations such as Norsok, DNV and Eurocode
