Contracts Manager
Location: Nationwide (Travel Required)
A leading UK hard flooring contractor is seeking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join its management team, following continued success in securing prestigious projects nationwide.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing flooring contracts across the UK, overseeing labour, delegating tasks, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and within budget.
This role involves regular travel, including occasional overnight stays, and requires a flexible approach to working hours.
Key Responsibilities
Manage flooring contracts nationwide from inception through to completion
Supervise site labour and allocate tasks effectively
Oversee financial budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value for money
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and site teams
Monitor performance and ensure projects meet quality and commercial objectives
Adapt to changing market trends and operational demands
Collaborate effectively as part of the wider management team
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience in contract management within the construction or flooring sector
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong financial and commercial awareness
Technically proficient with solid industry knowledge
Competent with IT systems
Effective people management and staff supervision skills
Strong organisational and planning ability
Capable of prioritising workload and working independently
Professional, confident, and flexible in approach
Strong networking and relationship-building skills
