Subsidence Desk Technician (Remote) Location: Remote The Opportunity: An exciting opportunity for a Subsidence Desk Technician has arisen to join a well established and growing loss adjusting business that specialises in property claims. Key Responsibilities: As a Subsidence Desk Technician, your responsibilities will include: Providing support to the Subsidence Team and wider business. Developing a strong technical knowledge of subsidence claims and applying policy cover, terms and conditions appropriately. Undertaking triage calls to identify valid subsidence claims and determine whether site investigations are required. Preparing and completing reports within agreed service level agreements (SLAs). Maintaining high standards of written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders. Processing claims in line with insurer requirements, standards, service levels and complaints procedures. Proactively progressing claims through to resolution. Reviewing claims, processing amendments and maintaining accurate records within the claims management system. Responding positively to changing client requirements and wider business needs. Providing a high level of customer service throughout the claims process. About You: We are looking for someone with previous experience within the insurance, claims handling or loss adjusting sector who is looking to further develop their career within specialist property claims. Ideally, you will have: Previous experience working within an insurance, claims handling or loss adjusting environment. Experience managing property claims from instruction through to settlement. Experience handling subsidence claims or an understanding of subsidence investigations and the claims process. Experience working as a Claims Handler, Claims Technician, Desk Technician, Property Claims Handler, Subsidence Technician, or in a similar technical claims role. The ability to review and interpret technical reports from surveyors, structural engineers, drainage contractors and other specialist suppliers. Experience liaising with policyholders, insurers, contractors and third-party suppliers throughout the lifecycle of a claim. Good IT skills, including experience using claims management systems and Microsoft Office. Professional qualifications such as Cert CII, Cert CILA, BDMA, or similar insurance-related qualifications would be advantageous, although these are not essential and support will be provided to candidates looking to work towards professional qualifications.
