Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Leicestershire-based office on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be computer literate and bring a strong background in estimating. You will be joining a specialist passive fire protection company, working as part of a professional and supportive team.

Key Requirements:

• Previous estimating experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software's
• Passive Fire Protection experience (not essential)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and tenders for passive fire protection works across the Midlands
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and schedules to identify scope of works
• Undertaking quantity take-offs for fire stopping, fire doors, and associated works
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical information
• Supporting senior estimators with bid submissions and tender documentation
• Maintaining and updating estimating databases and pricing schedules
• Communicating with existing clients to clarify requirements and provide support during tender stages
• Assisting with value engineering and cost comparisons where required
• Ensuring estimates align with company standards, compliance, and fire safety regulations
