About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Construction Engineer to join a growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent university graduate looking to begin their career within the construction and civil engineering sector.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers and site management teams, assisting with setting out, site coordination, quality control, and ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with setting out using surveying equipment (total stations, GPS, laser levels)

• Interpret and work from construction drawings and specifications

• Support senior engineers with day-to-day site engineering duties

• Ensure works are carried out in accordance with design and technical standards

• Conduct quality checks and maintain site records

• Monitor subcontractor activities and report progress

• Assist with preparing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)

• Maintain accurate as-built records

• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations on site

• Attend site meetings and contribute to progress updates

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related discipline

• Strong understanding of construction drawings and technical documentation

• Basic knowledge of setting out procedures and surveying equipment

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (AutoCAD knowledge desirable)

• Full UK driving licence (desirable)
