Electrician

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Housing Electrician to join our growing team, delivering high-quality electrical services across social housing properties. This role involves working in both occupied and void properties, carrying out repairs, maintenance, testing, and installation work while ensuring full compliance with current regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, and fault finding in social housing properties
• Perform Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
• Complete remedial works following inspections
• Install and upgrade consumer units, lighting, sockets, and wiring systems
• Ensure all work complies with current wiring regulations (BS 7671)
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants and residents
• Accurately complete job reports and certification
• Work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
• 2391 or equivalent Testing & Inspection qualification (preferred)
• Proven experience in social housing or domestic environments
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Desirable

• Experience working within local authority or housing association contracts
• Knowledge of compliance standards and safe systems of work
• Ability to manage workload efficiently and meet deadlines
