Estimator

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Estimator in Strip outs to join our growing team based in Bromley. The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing strip-out and demolition works across commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects, ensuring accurate, competitive, and compliant tenders.

This is an office based role that would need to attend site sometime.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for strip-out and demolition projects
• Review drawings, specifications, surveys, and tender documents
• Conduct site visits to assess scope, access, logistics, and risks
• Quantify works including labour, plant, materials, waste, and specialist subcontractors
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• Identify risks and value-engineering opportunities
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, asbestos, and environmental regulations
• Submit tenders within deadlines and assist with post-tender negotiations
• Maintain cost data, pricing schedules, and tender records

Requirements

• At least 5-year experience as an Estimator within strip-out
• Strong understanding of demolition methods, and sequencing
• Knowledge of UK health & safety legislation (CDM, asbestos awareness, waste management)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
• Proficient in Excel and estimating software
• Full UK driving licence (preferred)

Desirable

• Experience with commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects
• Knowledge of recycling and sustainability practices
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tenders
