Vital are recruiting on behalf of a leading construction and engineering company for a key role in their project delivery team. The company operates across major infrastructure and building projects and is known for its strong safety culture and commitment to innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement of materials/plant
- Develop bid-specific sourcing strategies with tender teams
- Negotiate supplier rates and maintain long-term agreements
- Maximize rebates through framework compliance
- Mentor junior procurement staff and resolve supplier disputes
- Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving innovations
Requirements:
- 7+ years in a procurement function (Minimum 3 years within the construction industry)
- Expertise in COINS ERP and Microsoft Excel
- Degree in Procurement/ Supply Chain/ Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
- CIPS qualification (or actively pursuing)
- Proven record of cost savings and value creation
Additional Information:
- Role may involve occasional travel to project sites or supplier meetings.
- Hybrid working arrangements may be considered following probationary period.
