We re working with a well-established and growing main contractor with a strong pipeline of work across South Wales. Due to continued growth and a healthy order book, they are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team in Cardiff.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking business delivering a diverse range of projects across commercial, education, residential, and mixed-use sectors.
Duties include:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
- Analysing drawings, specifications, and other documentation
- Conducting site visits and liaising with clients and consultants
- Obtaining and reviewing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identifying value engineering opportunities
- Preparing bills of quantities and pricing schedules
- Supporting bid presentations and negotiations
- Working closely with pre-construction, commercial, and delivery teams
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an Estimator within a main contracting environment, with strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously. A methodical approach, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential.
