Job Title: Asbestos Bulk Analyst
Location: Glasgow, Central Scotland
Salary/Benefits: 25k - 32k + Training & Benefits
We are recruiting on behalf of a UKAS accredited Asbestos outfit in the Central Belt of Scotland. Our client is privately owned and has a growing presence within the industry. They are seeking a P401 qualified Asbestos Bulk Analyst, who has a strong track record and proven technical ability. You will be analysing samples to ascertain the presence and type of asbestos, ensuring to work in accordance with industry standards and agreed deadlines. Experience / Qualifications:
- Experience working as an Asbestos Bulk Analyst, within a UKAS accredited outfit
- Must be qualified with the BOHS P401
- Fully conversant in industry guidelines
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Proficient in using IT software
- Strong eye for detail
The Role:
- Carrying out the analysis of asbestos samples using PLM and stereomicroscopy methods
- Receiving samples from site and logging correctly
- Updating the internal database with results
- Creating analytical certificates and reports and sending onto clients
- Calibrating equipment
- Completing quality assurance checks on completed works
- Supporting the administrative team where needed, such as: answering client enquiries, processing documents and ordering materials/equipment
- Working to agreed deadlines
