Job: Estimator
Boyd Recruitment are currently recruiting for a medium sized family run Steel Fabricator based in central Scotland.
Our client has been in operation for over 30 years and have built a successful business with a stable client base including frameworks both private sector and local authority.
Due to expansion and succession planning, they are looking to engage an Estimator.
Our client delivers a diverse selection of products including:
- Bridgeworks
- Canopies
- Balustrades
- Structural steelwork
- Walkovers
The Job
The Estimator will be responsible for:
- Tender generations through to successful delivery of projects on site.
- Must be comfortable with small jobs and large tender submissions.
- Excel and Word Proficient.
- Able to interpret both paper drawings and CAD models as required.
- Happy to liaise with client estimators/surveyors, suppliers and other team members.
- Predominately office-based with occasional site visits
- 39 hour week with start and finish times being flexible
The business is at a comfortable size, organic growth is always a possibility, but increasing profitability through efficiency is always a company target.
You will work closely with the management team to maintain and develop business relationships with clients, designers and sub-contractors.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in Estimating You may also be a QS
- Experience in structural steel is highly beneficial but other backgrounds in construction will also be considered
- Be an excellent communicator and lead teams to a common goal
- Have a can-do attitude and work additional hours when required.
