Building Services Engineer (Mobile Role) Based from Romford Office - Covering Central & Greater LondonSector: Contract Services / HelpdeskCompetitive SalaryStart Date: ASAPThe Role We are currently seeking an experienced Building Services Engineer to join our Contract Services team, covering a portfolio of retail, commercial, and high-end residential sites across Central and Greater London.This is a mobile role focused on delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance, alongside small works and installation projects. You will play a key role in maintaining critical building services systems across cinemas, supermarkets, shopping centres, offices, and premium residential developments. Key Responsibilities Carrying out reactive maintenance and fault finding across electrical and basic mechanical systemsDelivering planned maintenance including: EICR'sEmergency lighting testingFire alarm testingCompleting small installation and remedial worksEnsuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with compliance standardsAccurately updating job reports and documentation via mobile systemsLiaising with clients and helpdesk teams to ensure service excellence Equipment Experience (Beneficial) Basic mechanical knowledge of the following systems would be advantageous:
  • MVHR units
  • Extract fans
  • AHUs & FCUs
  • HIUs & CIUs
  • Air source heat pumps
  • Hot water cylinders
Essential Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
  • Proven experience in a similar mobile building services role
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 (Electrical)
  • ECS Card
  • C&G 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent
  • Strong fault-finding capability
  • Good IT / computer literacy
