Job Description:
Due to continued company growth, a job opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join one of South Wales s leading Civil Engineering Companies, who specialise in the construction of Wind Farm s, Sub Stations, and Solar Farm s on a permanent basis. This role will play an important part in helping the organisation enhance its procurement and logistics capabilities and management of suppliers.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Contacting and connecting local and nationwide suppliers within the construction industry, obtaining quotations and lead times
- Placing of purchase orders
- Identifying potential new suppliers and products
- Ensuring compliance with company IMS system
- General management and admin of purchasing documentation
Essential Skills
- Experience in buying within the construction/ civil engineering industry
- Excellent IT skills Microsoft Excel/ Word etc
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Effective communication and team working skills
- Knowledge of construction industry
- Knowledge of infrastructure and energy works i.e; Sub Stations, Wind Farms, Solar Farms
