Pay: £25,000 £35,000 per year

Job Description:

Due to continued company growth, a job opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join one of South Wales s leading Civil Engineering Companies, who specialise in the construction of Wind Farm s, Sub Stations, and Solar Farm s on a permanent basis. This role will play an important part in helping the organisation enhance its procurement and logistics capabilities and management of suppliers.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Contacting and connecting local and nationwide suppliers within the construction industry, obtaining quotations and lead times
• Placing of purchase orders
• Identifying potential new suppliers and products
• Ensuring compliance with company IMS system
• General management and admin of purchasing documentation

Essential Skills

• Experience in buying within the construction/ civil engineering industry
• Excellent IT skills Microsoft Excel/ Word etc
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Effective communication and team working skills
• Knowledge of construction industry
• Knowledge of infrastructure and energy works i.e; Sub Stations, Wind Farms, Solar Farms

• Full time, permanent
• Working hours Monday to Friday 08.00am to 17.00pm
• Based in Newport, South Wales office
• Casual dress

• Salary negotiable depending on experience
