MKA are looking for Supervisors, Electricians, Improvers and Electrical Mates for a big project starting in Bude shortly. The project has in fact started but our involvement will be the next phase around mid-end August depending on how the project progresses. The project is ongoing so for the right candidates there will be a nice long run of work but we are looking for good quality Electricans/ Electrical Improvers that are all rounders and can do everything from containment through to 2nd fixing. You will be required to do ladderack, tray, trunking, 25 mm conduit, wiring, and light fittings amongst other tasks and we need to make sure that everything is done to a good quality and the work ethic is on point. You will be working on a site that requires a basic DBS clearance and also BPSS clearance (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) as you will be working in sensitive government areas and this is essential for reducing the risk of illegal workers, identity fraud, and to protect national security. If you already have DBS clearance and/or BPSS clearance then great, if not do not worry we will supply you with the information you need to get that in place. It can take 2-3 weeks for that clearance to come back so please bear that in mind when applying. We are looking for people to get going straight away so we can get the clearance process on its way ready for when we need to load the site up. You will be working a 10 hour day, at present working hours are looking like starting at 7.30 – 5.30pm (with breaks), you will be paid a full 10 hour day. Rates will be discussed on application but will be around the £20 per hour for qualified approved electricians (gold card), £18 per hour for electricians, £16 per hour for improvers and £14 per hour for electrical mates. Rates will also depend on experience and qualifications as well and you will be fully referenced so we will require at least 3 references before we will put you out on site working on behalf of MKA.
