Temporary Site Agent Public Realm / Hard Landscaping
Location: Glasgow
Contract: Initial 6-month contract (potential for extension)
Rate: £350 per day

We are seeking a proven Site Agent to deliver high-quality public realm and hard landscaping works across key urban improvement schemes in Glasgow.

Working with a well-established civil engineering contractor, this temporary role will play a pivotal part in managing site operations and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Role requirements:

The successful applicant will

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of hard landscaping, streetscape, and public realm works.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain programme and quality targets.
• Ensure works comply with Health & Safety, environmental, and local authority standards.
• Support project planning, cost control, and progress reporting.
• Liaise closely with engineers, designers, and client representatives to maintain clear communication and proactive issue resolution.

Candidate requirements:

• Demonstrable experience as a Site Agent or Site Manager on civil engineering or landscaping projects.
• Strong knowledge of highways and public realm construction techniques.
• Solid understanding of NEC contract principles and change management.
• CSCS and SMSTS certification essential; civil engineering qualification (HNC/HND or similar) desirable.
• A hands-on leader who can drive programme delivery while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
