M&E construction manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced M&E Construction Manager with a strong data centre background to join our team delivering large-scale mission critical projects. This role is with a leading main contractor, overseeing the mechanical and electrical packages from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile hyperscale and colocation data centre projects across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all M&E activities on site

• Oversee subcontractors and specialist suppliers

• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards

• Review and manage technical submittals, RFIs, and design coordination

• Liaise closely with client representatives, consultants, and project stakeholders

• Drive commissioning, testing, and handover processes

• Monitor progress against programme and manage short-term planning

• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience as an M&E Construction Manager or Senior M&E Manager

• Strong background delivering data centre / mission critical projects

• Experience working for a main contractor (essential)

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (HVAC, LV/MV, UPS, generators, BMS, fire systems, etc.)

• Experience managing commissioning and client handover

• SMSTS (required)

• Relevant trade or engineering qualification preferred

• Strong leadership and coordination skills
