General Operative

Working on behalf of: Leading Social Housing Contractor

We are recruiting a reliable and hardworking General Operative to support a busy social housing contractor across multiple local properties. This role is essential in ensuring homes are prepared for repair and maintenance teams, keeping projects moving efficiently and safely.

• Clear and clean vacant properties in preparation for scheduled works
• Remove waste materials and maintain tidy, safe working areas
• Assist trades on site, including joiners, plumbers, electricians, and other operatives
• Take deliveries, unload vehicles, and distribute materials to the correct trades
• Provide general labouring support across different properties within the social housing portfolio
• Contribute to a smooth workflow by supporting teams and maintaining an organised environment

• Proactive, reliable, and physically fit
• Comfortable working across multiple properties
• Experience within social housing or general labouring beneficial
