The Project

We are seeking a strong customer-facing Freelance Site Manager to oversee façade remediation works to a live, occupied residential block.

The scope includes:

• Removal of existing render system

• Replacement and upgrade of insulation to meet current fire safety regulations

• Reinstatement of compliant external wall system

This is a live environment, so the successful candidate must be confident managing works while maintaining excellent communication with private residents.

The Role

You will take full responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of works on site, acting as the key point of contact for residents, the client, and subcontractors.

Key duties include:

• Managing day-to-day site operations and programme

• Coordinating scaffold, render removal, insulation replacement, and reinstatement works

• Ensuring compliance with current fire regulations and specification

• Maintaining high standards of health & safety in an occupied building

• Proactively communicating with residents regarding access, noise, disruption, and progress

• Handling resident queries and concerns in a professional and calm manner

• Chairing site meetings and producing progress reports

• Overseeing quality control and sign-off

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience managing façade, cladding, EWI, or fire remediation projects

• Experience working in live residential environments

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• SMSTS

• First Aid at Work

• CSCS (Black or Gold)

• Strong knowledge of fire compliance and building regulations

• Ability to manage subcontractors and deliver to programme

Highly Desirable

• Valid DBS check

• Experience dealing directly with private leaseholders and residents

• Knowledge of EWS1 / fire remediation documentation processes
