Assistant / Junior Estimator to join the team as part of an exciting internal restructure.
We specialise in
modular construction, high-end residential builds, and selected small civils projects. With a strong reputation for quality and attention to detail, we are now strengthening our commercial team making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop their career in estimating.

The Role You will work closely with senior members of the commercial team, assisting in the preparation of accurate cost estimates and supporting tender submissions across a diverse range of projects.
This role would suit someone with UK construction experience who is organised, analytical, and keen to build a long-term career within a supportive and growing company.
Key Responsibilities - Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Taking off quantities from drawings
- Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
- Supporting commercial documentation and bid submissions
- Maintaining well-organised project and tender records
- Conducting research to support pricing and technical understanding
Essential Requirements - Minimum GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above), plus other subjects
- Experience working within the UK construction industry
- Office-based experience
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Full clean UK driving licence and own transport
- Strong critical thinking ability
- High level of attention to detail
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications & Experience - A-Levels (or equivalent) in Maths, Science, Humanities, or Construction-related subjects
- Degree in a construction-related discipline
- 1-2 years' experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in the UK
- Experience using measurement software (e.g. Quickscale, Bluebeam, AutoCAD)
- Strong research and comprehension skills
- Experience in commercial, education (schools), healthcare, high-end residential or modular construction
- Experience working for a main contractor (preferred)
