The project starts in the middle of September and will run till the end of February. Depending on the success of this project there is the potential for further work and also converting to a permanent arrangement Individual: Experiences of high end hospitality, residential or hotels would be preferred. Clearing areas of work to ensure it is a clean and safe environment for everyone. Unloading white goods deliveries and movement of building materials. Securing barrier protection around the site and making sure hoarding & fencing is secure. Some traffic management. Some site cleaning and welfare cleaining About You You will need a current and valid CSCS card. Some previous experience is preferred but not essential. Compass Resourcing is currently recruiting for a freelance Project/Site Manager who can deliver a £3 million new build residential apartment project in Harrogate. The project is in its very early stages and requires a No1 Manager on site to deliver the construction through to completion in around April 2021. The client is a Yorkshire based main contractor who work on new build and refurbishment projects of between £1 million and £8 million in value. Their projects include commercial offices, schools, hospitals, hotels and retail parks. The Project Manager will be No1 on site and will have full responsibility of the project, reporting into a visiting Contracts Manager. You will preferably have a trades or engineering background and at least 15 years of construction industry experience with 5 years or more managing projects. Preferably you will have worked for a large main contractor on similar sized projects. Applicants should have the following skills and qualifications: - Relevant experience in new build construction and refurbishment projects - Personable with good customer / client skills - IT literate (Microsoft office) - CSCS - SMSTS (Site Manager Safety Training Scheme) - First Aid - Be driven and able to work on your own initiative - Be prepared to go the extra mile in order to get the project completed on time and to budget Standard site working hours - 8.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday This is an on-going temporary position which is required ASAP All Health & Safety risks will be covered in induction.
