Reporting to the Framework Manager, the Senior Construction Manager is responsible for providing construction management and co-ordination of the delivery of multi-system Mechanical work packages including engineering design and procurement activities for all Mechanical works. What you'll be doing
As a/an Senior Construction Manager, you will have the following accountabilities:
* Provide weekly and or monthly installation reports for all works including any sub-contractor as required to the SPM; including: progress, key achievements, significant issues, emerging risks and opportunities, cost and schedule forecasts, including monthly report narrative.
* Work closely and take overall responsibility of the construction team that will consist of Project Engineers, Quality Engineers, Quantity surveyor, Supervision and a blue collar workforce trades.

* Ensure packages comply with good design practice and relevant technical group standards.

* Identifying risks to project Team associated with the delivery of their works raising commercial notifications alongside the commercial team as appropriate.
* Consolidating and documenting the fundamental components of projects (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues, and quality requirements)
* Establishing, and implementing where necessary, protocols to change the scope of projects and updating configuration documents as required to enable the management of change.
* Manage time and complete daily diaries on BIM 360 Field, support the EPPR process (if/as applicable) and contribute to any other reporting format applicable.
* Implementation of Short Interval Control including running of daily section review meeting and production of a weekly section report via BIM 360
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
* Industrial Mechanical bias construction background/qualifications.
* Recognised experience in offsite pipework fabrication
* Recognised experience in various type pipe systems including stainless & alloy materials & in particular coordination of associated approved welding procedures.
* Experience in NDE, PWHT, and methods of testing & chemical cleaning for differing pipe systems.
* Recognised experience in coordinating Temporary works, Rigging Activities and Lifting Activity approvals (Preferably qualified Lifting AP).
* Experienced in coordinating access requirements including appropriate Working at Height selection and or scaffolding request coordination
* Relevant CSCS card.
* Previous experience of NEC3 Contract Management.

KEY PURPOSE
The Trainee Building Fabric Manager will assist Contract Managers to oversee and manage planned & reactive maintenance works within a designated geographical area for multiple clients. Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Managing subcontractors
• Ensure the subcontractors’ manager is competent and understands the drawings and specification.
• Review the subcontractor’s contract and ensure that they meet the requirements of their appointment in the Part 1 and Part 2.
• Allocate the work correctly and efficiently with the sub-contractors: make sure they sign for the areas / common area which you assign them possession on site for, record the date and the duration permitted. Inspect works done and sign off the form once works have been completed or as per the permitted duration period, ensuring the area is returned clean, safe and undamaged. Materials found to be wasted or damaged must be recorded and the QS informed of the damage / associated costs.
Managing the programme
• Review the programme / tracker programme and comment.
• Understand ERs and the project requirements, the specifications and the project drawings.
• Coordinate works on a daily basis with mechanical installation and other Ardmore site managers to ensure that programme is being adhered to, works take place efficiency and effectively.
• Monitor programme and write to contractors and subcontractors when they are failing always copying the Project Manager, Site Manager, Design Manager and Managing/Project Quantity Surveyor in all emails.
• Assist with build-ability issues and value engineering related to all electrical activities.
Managing materials and procurement
• Identify long lead in items, and place orders accurately and on-time. Coordinate with all other managers regarding services and the like.
• Assign landing areas for materials for your sub-contractors in coordination with the site manager and ensure that the landing areas are kept clean and tidy. Landing areas must have an agreed land to clear time so that the subcontractors are aware when the landing area must be freed up for the next subcontractor’s materials. Coordinate with fellow managers to ensure landing times and clearing times are agreed.
Quality Assurance
• Maintain accurate QA and make it visible in the flat.
• Photograph all works as required to meet with ACL requirements, NHBC building control and QA system. All QA forms must be up to date and also located in the Site Managers’ office for inspection by all. All QA sheets must be signed and dated.
• Inspect the skills of the labour / tradesmen making sure you are satisfied with the workmanship, material used and efficiency of work; sign off on the works at the end of each task and prior to the sub-contractor leaving site.
• Manage and quality control the entire electrical installation including lifts, CCTV, access control, IRS, telecommunication, fibre optics, communal wiring, alarms, connection to appliances, lighting, emergency power, emergency lighting, speaker systems, smart homes systems, consumer units, preparation for the substations, distribution, containment, external power and lighting, and all other electrical applications as deems necessary.
• Set-out and carry out dimensional checks against the relevant drawings flagging issues to the design team or sub-contractors as appropriate.
• Inspect the works of your Subcontractors on a regular basis daily and ensure that all works are been carried out in accordance with the requirements, specifications, NHBC, Building Regulations, consultant drawings and all other requirements. Electrical Manager is required to have experience on managing multiple subcontractors from fire alarm, BMS, electrical and ICN on large scale projects, hotels/ high end residential.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Managing subcontractors
• Ensure the subcontractors’ manager is competent and understands the drawings and specification.
• Review the subcontractor’s contract and ensure that they meet the requirements of their appointment in the Part 1 and Part 2.
• Allocate the work correctly and efficiently with the sub-contractors: make sure they sign for the areas / common area which you assign them possession on site for, record the date and the duration permitted. Inspect works done and sign off the form once works have been completed or as per the permitted duration period, ensuring the area is returned clean, safe and undamaged. Materials found to be wasted or damaged must be recorded and the QS informed of the damage / associated costs.
Managing the programme
• Review the programme / tracker programme and comment.
• Understand ERs and the project requirements, the specifications and the project drawings.

Managing materials and procurement

• Assign landing areas for materials for your sub-contractors in coordination with the site manager and ensure that the landing areas are kept clean and tidy. Landing areas must have an agreed land to clear time so that the subcontractors are aware when the landing area must be freed up for the next subcontractor’s materials. Coordinate with fellow managers to ensure landing times and clearing times are agreed.
Quality Assurance
• Maintain accurate QA and make it visible in the flat.
• Photograph all works as required to meet with ACL requirements, NHBC building control and QA system. All QA forms must be up to date and also located in the Site Managers’ office for inspection by all. All QA sheets must be signed and dated.
• Inspect the skills of the labour / tradesmen making sure you are satisfied with the workmanship, material used and efficiency of work; sign off on the works at the end of each task and prior to the sub-contractor leaving site.
• Manage and quality control the entire electrical installation including lifts, CCTV, access control, IRS, telecommunication, fibre optics, communal wiring, alarms, connection to appliances, lighting, emergency power, emergency lighting, speaker systems, smart homes systems, consumer units, preparation for the substations, distribution, containment, external power and lighting, and all other electrical applications as deems necessary.
• Set-out and carry out dimensional checks against the relevant drawings flagging issues to the design team or sub-contractors as appropriate.
• Inspect the works of your Subcontractors on a regular basis daily and ensure that all works are been carried out in accordance with the requirements, specifications, NHBC, Building Regulations, consultant drawings and all other requirements. Site temps and testing
• Manage the interface with the DNO and client by liaising with the DNO representative, earthing, lightening protection, connections, etc.

• Supply temps power and lighting as required to the construction site to ensure the site and associated building are adequately lit with available power where needed. Health and safety
• Induct sub-contractor’s staff as required and ensure that they have all the required certification, PPE, tools and equipment to carry out their works safely.

• Ensure the correct method statements, risk assessments, safe starts and any other safety documentation is in place before works commence daily.

Structural & architectural London based Steelwork Company looking for a time served Site Manager to lead teams of steel erectors and site welders on various sites throughout London. SMSTS IOSH would be an advantage CSCS AP or Lifting Supervisor would be an advantage Currently or previously been a coded welder and steel erector Excellent knowledge of steel and other products within the industry (Purlins, Decking, Metalwork’s, Temporary works etc…) Excellent knowledge and ability to read drawings, connection details and specifications of various quality Ability to work to scope of works, budgets and programs Ability to produce programs Ability to liaise with Clients site team and engineers Ability to manage a team of welders / steel erectors and get them to produce excellent work on time and on budget Ability to work under pressure Pride in the work Ability to liaise with the company buyer, workshop and QS’s Standard site management admin will be required and contact with the office Excellent organization skills and ability to plan ahead Positive attitude to problems and dealing with staff of all levels Ability to multitask Take responsibility and be accountable Pride in the work with an eagerness to get the job done even if it requires overtime to complete the work Excellent knowledge in the safe use of various site equipment for installation of steel Willing to be hands on as and when required Successful candidate must be local as late shifts and weekend working will be required when a project demands it Key Responsibilities Manage Team of Steel Erectors, Site welders & Labourers Manage the time keeping of the labour force Manage labour force issues on a daily basis with regards performance and conduct Ensure all labour force and subcontractors are inducted onto site and are given the RAMS to read, raise any queries and sign to say they have understood Daily Briefings must be carried out, written up and signed Tool box talks to be carried out weekly, documented and signed You must ensure you get scaffold hand over sheets from Scaffold Company before working from scaffolding. Hired Tower certs must be in the site file Delivery notes must be filed in the site folder and kept for record purposes; supplier LOLER sheets must be completed weekly and the inspections of the lifting equipment must be carried out for all lifting equipment including slings and chains. PUWER sheets must be completed and weekly inspections of the equipment complete for all other equipment that doesn’t fall under LOLER. Harnesses and Lanyards can be added to the PUWER inspection sheet as well as power tools etc… Working at Heights inspection must be carried out weekly and prior to task PPE register needs completing and signing each time new PPE is handed out Site Managers Site Inspection must be carried out weekly Supervisor Site Inspection must be carried out weekly, it’s the responsibility of the Site Manager to ensure the supervisor conduct the inspection Keeping track of stock on your site is an essential part for site management, you must ensure the site has everything it needs to keep working Reporting to Project manager in line with the company policies, procedures and Integrated Management System Deliver each project to a high standard of quality & Client Satisfaction Deliver each project on time & on budget, it’s the Site Managers responsibility to ensure they get the handover package for the projects they manage which include the Scope, Budget, Program,
