Quantity Surveyor
The Company:
Our client is a specialist flat roofing contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality refurbishment and new build projects across the public sector, education, and social housing markets. With a growing pipeline of secured works, they are now seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team and take ownership of multiple live roofing contracts.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and supportive business, managing commercially focused tasks across a portfolio of bitumen felt, hot melt, and liquid roofing projects ranging from 50K to 2M.
Responsibilities:
- As a Quantity Surveyor you will manage commercial activities across multiple flat roofing projects, supporting the operations and contracts teams
- Prepare and submit interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and supply chain to ensure project budgets and forecasts are maintained
- Support cost planning, procurement, and contract administration from pre-construction through to handover
- Measure works and carry out re-measures when required
- Assess subcontractor packages, applications, and payment certifications
- Ensure that all work complies with contractual obligations and commercial procedures
- Provide monthly cost/value reports to commercial leadership
Requirements:
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant QS in the flat roofing, waterproofing, or external envelope sectors
- Excellent numerical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial documentation
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
