About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Freelance Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) to support works on a housing scheme based on-site in Ashington. This role is key to ensuring clear communication between residents, site teams, and project stakeholders throughout the duration of the works.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining positive relationships with residents, minimising disruption, and ensuring works are delivered with excellent customer care standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for residents before, during and after works

  • Provide clear, timely communication regarding schedules, access requirements, and any changes

  • Conduct resident consultations, home visits, and drop-in sessions as required

  • Manage and resolve complaints or concerns in a professional and empathetic manner

  • Coordinate access arrangements between residents and site teams

  • Maintain accurate records of communications, vulnerabilities, and special requirements

  • Support the site team in delivering works with minimal disruption

  • Ensure safeguarding and data protection standards are upheld at all times

About You

  • Proven experience as a Resident Liaison Officer within social housing, planned works, or refurbishment projects

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Confident dealing with residents in occupied properties

  • Highly organised with strong administrative ability

  • Able to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally

  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (preferred)

  • CSCS card (desirable)
