Due to continued growth, we re looking for an experienced Senior Steelwork Estimator to join our team and play a key role in winning and delivering major steelwork projects.
This is a senior position where you ll lead the estimating function, shape commercial strategy at tender stage, and work closely with senior leadership, project teams, clients, and the supply chain.

What you ll be responsible for:
• Leading the preparation of detailed, accurate cost estimates for steelwork projects
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Producing take-offs and material quantity calculations
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
• Identifying commercial risks, opportunities & value engineering options
• Preparing and submitting tender documentation to tight deadlines
• Managing client PQQ submissions, ISO compliance, and accreditations (Achilles, Constructionline)
• Supporting post-tender negotiations and handing projects over to delivery teams
• Maintaining estimating databases, rates, and cost benchmarks

What we re looking for:
• Proven experience as a Senior Steelwork Estimator (or similar)
• Strong technical knowledge of steel fabrication and erection
• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications
• High level of commercial awareness and risk management
• Proficient in estimating software and Excel
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines

Desirable:
• Experience working with main contractors and design teams
• Knowledge of UK construction standards and regulations
• Experience managing ISO accreditations, Achilles & Constructionline
• Background in steel fabrication, engineering, or construction management
