Senior Project Engineer Barrow in Furness Permanent Position Competitive Salary, plus Car/Car Allowance + Flexible Benefits Summary We have an exciting new opportunity for a mechanically biased Senior Project Engineer, to join our team on site in Barrow In Furness In this role you will play a key part in leading the delivery of this project, being responsible for ensuring that all activities within your area of control are engineered to specification, and delivered safely, profitably and to customer satisfaction. This is a permanent staff role with NG Bailey, and the successful candidate will need to be able to obtain security clearance once in post. Some of the key deliverables in this role will include: Ensuring that our safety first and foremost message is visible and alive through all activities on the project Participate in pre-commencement activities to maximise opportunities, efficiency and profitability Review the project scope of works to ensure precise provision of the customer's requirements Lead the identification of project risks and opportunities, and take responsibility to mitigate or enhance those in your control Ensure engineering solutions are procured and delivered to financial and commercial objectives. Provide accurate and timely information on site progress to the Project Manager and Commercial Lead Manage any sub-contract resource if applicable. Provide leadership to project team members within your area of control, maximising performance and ensuring objectives are met. Build and maintain positive customer relationships Ensure project is closed out in accordance with customer requirements, maximising project profitability What we're looking for : To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience of mechanical installations, in a construction environment, and previous experience in a similar role. Work on a variety of civil’s projects ranging from £500k to 20 Million in value. Key Areas of Responsibility Planning ahead and checking of works completed on a concrete/rebar project - 15 million - Participating in analysis of the permanent works design in advance of works in liaison with the Temporary Works requirements. Ideally have a strong record of delivery and knowledge of Temporary Works systems, preferably RC Framework. Ideally having worked both Main Contractor and Subcontractor environments (advantageous). Strong engineeering skill set required. Skills and Ability - Applicants will have a proven record on civil engineering projects including Structures (RC) concrete and rebar experience essential. - QA expereince essential - Essential qualified to HNC/Degree level - Applicants should hold a CSCS card and have at least 5 years site experience. - Excellent communications skills are essential, as is the ability to work under their own initiative. - A full driving licence is essential
