This role would suit a Project Manager with a strong background in occupied social housing environments, confident managing multiple workstreams while maintaining high standards of resident satisfaction, compliance, and programme delivery.

The Role

You will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of refurbishment and planned maintenance projects, overseeing programmes from pre-start through to completion.

Typical works may include:

  • Planned maintenance & capital works

  • Internal and external refurbishments

  • Kitchens & bathrooms

  • Fire safety works

  • Energy efficiency / retrofit upgrades

Projects are delivered within live, occupied properties, so resident liaison and stakeholder management are key.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end project management of social housing refurbishment works

  • Managing site teams, subcontractors, and supply chain partners

  • Programme planning, cost control, and risk management

  • Ensuring compliance with H&S, quality, and regulatory standards

  • Client and stakeholder liaison (Housing Association, residents, consultants)

  • Managing KPIs, reporting, and framework performance

  • Driving a customer-focused approach across all works

About You

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Contracts Manager in social housing

  • Strong background in refurbishment / planned works / maintenance

  • Experience working on Housing Association or Local Authority frameworks

  • Confidence managing works in occupied homes

  • Excellent communication and resident-facing skills

  • Good commercial awareness and programme control

  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Planned maintenance or decent homes experience

  • Retrofit / decarbonisation exposure

  • Knowledge of KPI-driven contracts

What's On Offer

  • Long-term, stable work on an established Housing Association contract

  • Localised patch with minimal long-distance travel

  • Competitive salary and package

  • Opportunity to work within a well-structured, supportive delivery team

  • Strong pipeline of future refurbishment and improvement works
