Rate: £450 £525 per day (DOE) Outside IR35 / Limited Company

Contract: Initial 6 months, likely extension (project runs through Summer 2027)

A well-established commercial construction and fit-out contractor is delivering a £60m CAT A / CAT B office cut-and-carve project in Central London and is seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the on-site commercial team.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and working closely with the site team, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing subcontractor packages from procurement to final account
• Measuring, pricing, and administering variations, including structural alterations and additional client requests
• Preparing valuations, cost reports, and forecasts
• Supporting CVRs and commercial reporting
• Assisting the site team in a fast-paced, live project environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on similar commercial fit-out or design-and-build projects
• Background with Tier One or Two main contractors
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial fit-outs, structural facades, and CAT A/B office schemes
• Experienced in managing subcontractors and commercial processes independently
• Comfortable handling large-scale projects (£60m+) with complex site discoveries
