Building Surveyor

Castlefield Recruitment are recruiting an Building Surveyor for a Yorkshire based Housing Association. This is a permanent position, paying £60,000 - £63,000 per annum, and is home based, with travel required around a patch across North Yorkshire. Mileage for any travel is claimable from home at 45ppm.

The role:

• Project manage major investment works, cyclical refurbishments, fire safety and maintenance programmes
• Prepare specifications of works and manage contractors and suppliers to ensure works are carried out to a high standard
• Conduct comprehensive surveys including technical inspections of defects, quality inspections, stock condition surveys and HHSRS audits
• Carry out tendering exercises using appropriate frameworks to ensure value for money
• Act as principal designer to ensure projects are completed in accordance with CDM regulations

What you need:

• Minimum HND in Building Surveying or related qualification
• Significant surveying / project management experience in a housing association or similar client-side environment
• Contract administration and management experience of major projects, including preparing tender documentation, budget management, and quality assurance
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and statutory compliance regulations
