My client is a specialist contractor delivering complex, large-scale structural and architectural solutions across the sports, leisure, and major infrastructure sectors. Due to continued growth, Stadium Structures Ltd is seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to support the design, coordination, and technical delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion.

The Role

As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in the technical development and coordination of projects, working closely with internal design, engineering, and construction teams, as well as external consultants and clients.

You will be responsible for producing and managing detailed technical information, ensuring designs are compliant with statutory requirements, buildable, and aligned with project programmes and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and develop detailed architectural and technical drawings from concept through to construction.

  • Coordinate architectural information with structural, MEP, and specialist subcontractor designs.

  • Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, British Standards, planning conditions, and client specifications.

  • Assist with technical input during pre-construction, tender, and value engineering stages.

  • Review and comment on consultant and subcontractor design information.

  • Support the resolution of technical queries during construction.

  • Attend design team meetings and liaise with site teams to ensure accurate technical delivery.

  • Maintain document control and ensure drawings and specifications are issued in line with the design programme.

  • Support as-built information and handover documentation.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Degree or HND/HNC in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience working as an Architectural Technologist within construction, structural, or specialist contractor environments.

  • Strong technical knowledge of building construction, detailing, and materials.

  • Experience working on complex or large-scale projects (stadiums, arenas, infrastructure, or similar is advantageous).

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit/BIM environments is highly desirable.

  • Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction standards.

  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines.
