Major Infrastructure Project Near Failand, Bristol Long-Term Contract

The Opportunity

We re looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Foreman to join a major infrastructure scheme near Failand, Bristol. This is a long-term role (3+ years) on a large, well-run project with multiple work fronts and a strong delivery team already in place.

If you enjoy running a tight site, leading crews and keeping standards high day in, day out this is a solid opportunity with real longevity.

The Project

A complex, multi-disciplinary infrastructure and public realm scheme including:

• New build major roads
• Section 278 works
• Bulk and detailed earthworks
• Drainage networks
• Hard landscaping
• Lakes and ponds
• Underground car park

Plenty of moving parts and enough variety to keep things interesting.

The Role

As Foreman, you ll be responsible for the day-to-day control of site activities, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently and to programme.
You ll work closely with Engineers, Site Management and Maintenance teams to identify issues early and keep the job moving.

Key duties will include:

• Leading daily site operations across heavy civils and earthworks
• Delivering toolbox talks and daily briefings
• Carrying out site inductions
• Maintaining rigorous control of Health & Safety standards
• Ensuring all operatives have and wear the correct PPE
• Proactively identifying construction issues and liaising with Site Engineers
• Working with the site maintenance team to resolve plant and equipment issues
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, ensuring a tidy, safe and organised site
• Supporting Site Management in driving productivity and programme

This is a hands-on leadership role, very much at the sharp end of delivery.

About You

We re looking for a proven Foreman with experience delivering heavy civil engineering and earthworks projects.
You ll bring:

• Local to Bristol - no subsistence on offer
• CSCS
• Experience working as a Foreman / Supervisor
• Strong background in heavy civils and earthworks
• A safety-first mindset and confidence enforcing site standards
• Clear communication skills and the ability to lead from the front
• A practical, organised and proactive approach
• Ability to commute to the Failand / Bristol area

Rate & Engagement

• £300 £350 per day
• Outside IR35
• CIS or Ltd Company engagement
• Long-term, stable contract on a flagship project
