We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) to join our team. This is a key site-based role, acting as the link between construction teams, local residents, clients, and community stakeholders.

You ll play a vital role in managing relationships, resolving concerns, and ensuring projects deliver meaningful social value while minimising disruption to the local community.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder & Resident Engagement

  • Act as the main point of contact between the site team, residents, community groups, and clients
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local communities
  • Respond professionally to resident enquiries, concerns, and complaints

Community Relations

  • Organise and attend community meetings, events, and workshops
  • Work closely with local authorities and community organisations
  • Promote transparency and positive communication throughout the project lifecycle

Resident Support

  • Keep residents informed of construction activity, timelines, and disruptions
  • Produce monthly newsletters and project updates
  • Work with site teams to implement mitigation measures for noise, dust, access, etc.

Conflict Resolution

  • Mediate and resolve disputes fairly and professionally
  • Log, track, and follow up on all resident issues and complaints
  • Support site teams with effective communication strategies

Social Value & S106

  • Champion social value and S106 commitments on site
  • Coordinate community initiatives, employment opportunities, apprenticeships, and school engagement
  • Organise community-focused events and projects
  • Track and report social value outcomes to stakeholders

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience as a Resident Liaison Officer, Community Liaison Officer, or similar role
  • Construction, regeneration, or housing sector experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident handling complaints and conflict resolution
  • Knowledge of social value and S106 commitments
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
