To be considered for this role, you will ideally have: • A degree in Ecology or a relevant discipline • Project management experience • CIEEM membership is advantageous • Excellent report writing capabilities • Protected Species Licence(s) (advantageous) • Experience in Principal Ecology (i.e. PWMS writing and appraisal capability) • Site ECoW experience Whilst working as a Senior Ecologist, you will be involved in; • Planning, co-ordinating and managing ecology surveys, • Supporting the Senior Ecologist and in time leading a small team, • Ecological Impact Assessment (EIA) • Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, • Liaising with clients, project managers and stakeholders, • A variety of protected species surveys,Client liaison • Licensed EcoWs (GCN, Bat, Badger, Dormice etc) Competitive Freelance rate
