For the last 5 years more and more clients have been engaging Baxall to deliver concept designs (stages 0 to 3) while benefiting from real world cost estimates that can be delivered efficiently and on time. Such has been the success of this approach that Baxall are now looking to establish a new department to strengthen their preconstruction and delivery teams with a talented Architect or Architectural Technician to lead this new design service with an ambition to build a team around them.

About the Role

As and Architect orArchitectural Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in helping the client develop their design brief from stage zero to stage 3 - supporting the client to come up with their vision, coordinating with delivery teams on buildability and working with the estimators to come up with prices that ultimately lead to project that can be built to a budget and exceeds client expectations.

You'll:

• Support the client to develop their vision while utilising the resources of the team to create a solution that matches their budget
• Identify opportunities and challenges in design and coordinate innovative solutions
• Work closely with the PM and QS to ensure quality, buildability, and commercial success
• Lead coordination across clients, consultants, and supply chain partners during stages 0 to 3 before handing it over to the Design Managers and the delivery teams
• As the role develops so too will your responsibilities as we build a team around you in this new department. This is one of those very rare opportunities to help shape a brand new team and create something special. Baxall Construction already have a Design Managers, some of whom are architects, and this move is in response to more and more clients wanting them to take over the whole process of developing their vision. This early engagement with real world prices and real world solutions to construction projects makes this a unique opportunity.

Projects typically range from £5M-£20M, covering sectors such as education, leisure, commercial, and high-end residential.
