A growing fire compliance contractor is looking to appoint a Passive Fire Project Coordinator/Junior Contracts Manager to support the delivery of passive fire remediation and FRA-related works across occupied properties.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on passive fire or fire compliance experience looking to progress into contract management within a supportive and well-structured environment.
The role
You will support senior management with the coordination, administration, and compliance of passive fire projects, working closely with site teams, residents, clients, and suppliers.
Key responsibilities
Project Coordination:
Assist with planning and coordination of passive fire works
Maintain project trackers, schedules, and documentation
Raise quotations for surveyed works
Ensure works align with FRA actions and client specifications
Compliance and quality:
Ensure works comply with relevant standards and legislation
Collate and upload compliance evidence, certifications, and photos
Support quality checks and compilation of handover packs
Client and resident liaison:
Support access arrangements in occupied social housing
Maintain regular client communication and progress updates
Supply chain and site support:
Coordinate labour, materials, and subcontractors
Ensure operatives receive correct specifications and fire-stopping details
Monitor subcontractor performance and escalate issues
Health and safety:
Support RAMS, toolbox talks, and site safety processes
Report incidents, near misses, and non-compliance
Reporting:
Maintain KPIs, dashboards, and progress reports
Track variations, completed works, and outstanding actions
About you
Experience in passive fire protection, fire safety, or compliance works
Familiar with social housing and working in occupied properties
Good understanding of fire doors, fire stopping, and compartmentation
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Confident communicator with residents and clients
Able to interpret drawings, FRA reports, and specifications
Competent IT skills (Excel, Word, CRM/compliance portals)
