Recruit4staff are representing an established business in their search for an Estimator to work in Swindon
Job Details:
- Pay: £70,000 per annum
- Hours of Work: Days role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours
- Duration: Permanent
- Benefits: £5,750 car allowance, 8% employer pension contribution, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
Job Role: As an Estimator, you will work closely with the Bid Manager and wider project team to develop competitive pricing for a variety of civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for evaluating labour, plant, materials, subcontracts, and temporary works, ensuring governance procedures are followed and estimates are thorough, accurate, and cost-effective. The Estimator will play a key role from initial pricing through to tender settlement and handover, supporting both successful and unsuccessful bid reviews.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role with a civil estimating background
- Knowledge of civil engineering and construction techniques
- Knowledge of relevant procurement legislation
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction
- Detailed knowledge of estimating software packages
