A growing and well-established consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor to support an established client delivering key Water Infrastructure projects under NEC forms of contract.

The Role:

You will be responsible for providing full commercial support across a portfolio of Water Infrastructure projects, ensuring strong cost control, contractual compliance and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Commercial management of projects under NEC forms of contract.

  • Cost management, forecasting and reporting.

  • Contract administration and change control.

  • Managing subcontractor accounts and applications for payment.

  • Supporting project delivery teams with commercial and contractual advice.

  • Producing accurate financial reports for senior stakeholders.

  • Contributing to continuous improvement and best practice across the business.

About You:
  • Experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure or utilities.

  • Strong knowledge and experience of NEC contracts.

  • Background from either a contractor, consultancy or client-side environment will be considered.

  • Water or utilities sector experience is preferred, however candidates from wider infrastructure backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

  • Particularly interested in candidates with experience on the Virgin Media telecoms contract.

  • Open to candidates from highways, rail, energy and civil engineering backgrounds.

  • Permanent career history with good stability in previous roles is important for this position.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ambitious and keen to develop and progress within a growing consultancy.
