Estimator - Aluminium Systems

An established aluminium systems house specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of curtain walling systems is seeking an Mid-level Estimator to support its pre-construction and tendering activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for façade and curtain walling projects, working closely with design, commercial and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for curtain walling and aluminium façade systems

• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation to assess scope and risk

• Carry out material take-offs and labour pricing

• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations

• Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and bid documentation

• Support value engineering and design development proposals

• Maintain pricing databases and market rate awareness

• Work closely with commercial and operational teams to support project handover

Skills & Experience:

• Previous estimating experience within aluminium systems, façade, curtain walling or glazing a bonus

• Good understanding of curtain walling systems, aluminium profiles, glass and façade interfaces

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications (Desirable)

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Construction, Quantity Surveying or related discipline

• Experience working for a façade contractor or aluminium systems house
