Overview


We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a residential development in Watford, comprising 6 flats and 2 houses. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual to take ownership of a small-to-medium sized scheme from site set-up through to completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard

  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries

  • Maintain site health & safety in line with current regulations

  • Monitor programme, quality, and costs, reporting progress to the Project Manager/Director

  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and building regulations

  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and inspections

  • Manage snagging, inspections, and final handover

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential projects (flats and/or housing)

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and quality control

  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certificates preferred

  • Good communication and leadership skills

  • Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme pressure

  • Based within a reasonable commute to Watford or willing to travel
