Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for mechanical projects, primarily air conditioning (approximately 70% of work), with exposure to full mechanical works (30%) Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation Produce detailed take-offs, cost plans, and quotations Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing Identify value engineering opportunities and commercial risks Produce reports on tender activity, pricing trends, and success rates Analyse estimating data to support commercial decision-making and bid strategy Develop, improve, and standardise estimating procedures Work closely with Directors on bid strategy, pricing, and commercial decisions About You: Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator (minimum 2 3 years) Strong background in air conditioning projects (essential) Experience or interest in full mechanical services is highly desirable Commercially aware with excellent attention to detail Confident producing reports and analysing estimating data Able to work independently and manage your own workload Comfortable reporting directly into Directors and contributing at a senior level Motivated to build, improve, and take ownership of an estimating department What We Offer: Competitive salary (£55,000 £60,000) plus a bonus scheme Key role within a growing and ambitious company Opportunity to help grow the business s full mechanical offering Genuine autonomy to shape and lead the estimating function Direct access to Directors and involvement in strategic decisions Long-term career progression If you are an experienced mechanical estimator looking for a role where you can make a real impact and grow with the company, we would love to hear from you.
