This established UK interiors specialist delivers furniture and design-led solutions for educational and commercial environments. Known for its focus on quality, compliance and user-centred outcomes, the business works closely with clients to create inclusive, functional spaces that balance creativity with technical rigour. Based at its Plymouth office, the organisation fosters a collaborative culture where design, sales and delivery teams work closely together.



Role & Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients and end users to define design briefs and specific project requirements
  • Undertake site feasibility assessments to understand spatial constraints and opportunities
  • Produce mood boards, schematic designs and detailed 2D/3D layouts
  • Apply inclusive and universal design principles across all schemes
  • Ensure compliance with UK building regulations including fire safety and Health & Safety standards
  • Coordinate with project managers, suppliers and consultants on M&E, plumbing and life safety systems
  • Specify materials, furniture, fixtures and finishes appropriate to budget and brief
  • Prepare cost estimates in line with project timelines and budgets
  • Liaise with procurement, contractors and suppliers throughout delivery
  • Oversee installations and attend final walkthroughs to resolve defects
  • Maintain a current design portfolio and awareness of best practice, trends and innovation.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related discipline
  • Strong creative and spatial design capability with attention to detail
  • Sound knowledge of accessibility, inclusion and UK building regulations
  • Experience producing technical drawings and presentation materials
  • Working knowledge of Vectorworks is essential
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
  • Organised, solution-focused and commercially aware
  • Right to work in the UK.
