Work may involve site visits, client engagement, technical design thinking, project and contract management, delivering training, and structured reporting. Key responsibilities The Technical Specialist converts technical expertise into practical, repeatable value for clients: Technical consulting and solution development Assess construction site environmental risks and develop practical strategies for managing silt pollution and surface water. Project delivery and management Lead technical work from initial enquiry through to project delivery, including scope definition, programme management and coordination of internal and external resources. System specification Develop and specify appropriate water management and treatment approaches, including silt control systems, temporary water treatment systems, bubble curtains and aeration systems. Client engagement Act as a trusted technical contact for clients, helping them understand risks, constraints and practical solutions. Maintain long-term relationships built on clarity, reliability and honest technical advice. Monitoring, verification and reporting Design monitoring approaches where required, interpret performance data, and produce clear technical reports verifying system performance.
