My client is one of the world's leading manufacturers within their industry, based within commutable distance from Ipswich, Colchester, Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury, Felixstowe, etc. They are currently looking for a skilled & experienced Steel Fixer to accurately prepare and install steel rebar into precast concrete forms.

My client is one of the world's leading manufacturers within their industry, based within commutable distance from Ipswich, Colchester, Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury, Felixstowe, etc. They are currently looking for a skilled & experienced Steel Fixer to accurately prepare and install steel rebar into precast concrete forms.
The Role - Steel Fixer:
- Preparing and installing steel reinforcement (rebar & mesh) into precast concrete forms
- Reading and understanding detailed engineering drawings to assemble cages
- Using hand and power tools to cut, bend, and shape rebar
- Quality checking parts
- Being able to make moulds for the precast rebar
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Day Shifts, Mon to Fri 06.00 to 15.00, potential overtime available on Saturdays
Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Steel Fixer:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Steel Fixer
- Ability to read, understand and work from drawings
- Experience working with precast rebar
- Experience in assembling cages and also making moulds.
- Motivated and excellent team player
The Package - Steel Fixer :
- Hourly rate of £18-£21 depending on experience
- Overtime available on Saturdays
- Temp-Perm position
