Mechanical Project Manager Opportunity Decarbonisation Project Norwich Based
MK Search are working with a highly reputable and rapidly growing decarbonisation-focused M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Mechanical Project Manager to deliver a major hospital project in Norwich.
This is a key role managing £8m of mechanical services, with a strong emphasis on decarbonisation, retrofit works and complex pipework packages within a live healthcare environment.
The Role:
You will take full responsibility for the mechanical scope of works, ensuring delivery to programme, budget and quality standards. The project is part of a wider long-term framework, offering strong potential for follow-on work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and delivering £8m mechanical services packages
- Overseeing decarbonisation and retrofit works in a hospital setting
- Managing complex pipework packages
- Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour
- Programme management, cost control and reporting
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and H&S regulations
- Working closely with site teams, consultants and the client
About You:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on large-scale M&E projects
- Strong background in decarbonisation, energy efficiency or retrofit projects
- Experience working within healthcare or live environments preferred
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical building services and pipework systems
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Able to work autonomously in a freelance capacity
