Mechanical Project Manager Opportunity Decarbonisation Project Norwich Based

MK Search are working with a highly reputable and rapidly growing decarbonisation-focused M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Mechanical Project Manager to deliver a major hospital project in Norwich.

This is a key role managing £8m of mechanical services, with a strong emphasis on decarbonisation, retrofit works and complex pipework packages within a live healthcare environment.

The Role:

You will take full responsibility for the mechanical scope of works, ensuring delivery to programme, budget and quality standards. The project is part of a wider long-term framework, offering strong potential for follow-on work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and delivering £8m mechanical services packages
• Overseeing decarbonisation and retrofit works in a hospital setting
• Managing complex pipework packages
• Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour
• Programme management, cost control and reporting
• Ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and H&S regulations
• Working closely with site teams, consultants and the client

About You:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on large-scale M&E projects
• Strong background in decarbonisation, energy efficiency or retrofit projects
• Experience working within healthcare or live environments preferred
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical building services and pipework systems
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Able to work autonomously in a freelance capacity
