Business Unit: Kier Mechanical and Electrical Introduction: Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) are an internal MEP self-delivery business within the Kier group, supporting the internal regional businesses across the UK and the Strategic Projects business on complex and challenging projects. The business has a full design, construct and commissioning capability. We are looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer, to join our delivery team on HMP Wellingborough. The project is a c.£270M scheme with c.£85M MEP across the project, with a planned completion date for Autumn 2021 The role will report to a MEP Section Project Manager and have the full responsibility for the MEP delivery of one of the ancillary buildings supported by and electrical biased colleague with further responsibilities for management and control of off-site manufacture production, logistics and installation. There will be additional responsibility for sectional external mechanical services distribution across the project. Key Responsibilities: Safe management and control of the services installation under your responsibility Quality Assurance and Quality Control of the works Management of programme sequence and delivery milestones Equipment technical appraisals and compliancy reviews Co-ordination of the installation and associated supply chain recourse Risk identification Mitigation and management Weekly progress and performance reports Management of design information and change control Commissionability reviews.
